Frequently Asked Questions
Use this section for questions about your services.
Do you make your own rings and scales?
No, all my rings and scales are made by TheRingLord, Spiderchain, and Joshua Diliberto. Occasionally I will work with other independent artists to get specialty charms, scales, clasps, pendants, etc. I do my best to insure all materials used are Nickel-Free.
Artistic Freedom?
Artistic freedom is welcome! If you want a piece designed with artistic freedom you must include at least the price you want to pay, and a theme or color pallet for me to follow. After that how much freedom you give me is up to you. I love creating pieces based off of characters!
What materials are you using?
Most of my work is in anodized aluminum. But I also work in stainless steel, titanium, niobium, precious metals, and EPDM rubber.
Often clasps will be plated brass unless the commissioner requests otherwise.
All my materials for skin contact wear are Latex and Nickel Free.
Color Consistency and Custom Shades?
Ring colors will change from batch to batch due to the chemistry that is anodizing aluminum, titanium, or niobium. If you are looking to get matching sets, it’s best to order as close together as possible. If you want a specific shade, feel free to email asking for the colors, or send me a HEX code and I will try to match as close as possible. I have around 70 individual colors at any given time!
Custom colors are available but very expensive for me to order. If you are wanting a custom color for your dragon tail it will start an an additional $200, with possible additional costs and will add at least 3 months to the build time. With rings, custom colors will only be available for large inlay orders and additional costs will vary.
Your Etsy doesn’t have something I’m looking for. How should I order?
When looking for a custom commission, please send an email or a commission form in with as many details as possible. This can include photos, links, measurements, or a general description. The more specific, the better I can quote.
Why does Micromaille cost more?
Micromaille uses significantly smaller rings than my standard jewelry, creating a fine detailed chain. While working in micromaille is beautiful, it also takes more time and materials to build, this leads to higher prices.
Processing Time and Shipping
Premade purchases are fulfilled and ship within 2-3 business days. If there is any reason this will take longer, I will contact you by email to inform you of the situation.
Shipping is via USPS unless otherwise requested. Shipping costs will vary for international orders.
Payment Plans?
Any order over $50 has the option of a payment plan. I ask for 30% down, and then we will arrange the amount for monthly payments that work with your pay period. You can find more information in my TOS.
